EMS Ordinance Development Workgroup
CVEMSA has been working to develop an EMS ordinance that supports current EMS system standards, promotes high quality patient care and aligns with California codes and regulations. CVEMSA feels stakeholder input, feedback and perspective are vital for the creation of Ambulance Ordinances that support the stakeholders and protect the public health and safety. In order to gather that input, CVEMSA is convening two Regional EMS Ordinance Development (EMSOD) Workshops.
We have established a framework for the Ordinance and would now like to initiate the development of the content in partnership with you, the stakeholders. The document below puts that framework into a matrix format for easier discussion. We are sharing these first ideas and important concepts ahead of the EMSOD Workshops to inform stakeholders and help them prepare for the discussion.
- CVEMSA Desired Components for Emergency and Pre-Hospital Medical Services Ordinance
- Current ordinance, Mendocino: Emergency Medical Response
- Current ordinance, Sonoma: Emergency and Prehospital Medical Services System
In order to gather that input, CVEMSA is convening two Regional EMS Ordinance Development (EMSOD) Workshops.
The specific times and dates of the EMSOD Workshops are:
- November 22nd 9:00-11:00 AM at the Sonoma County Water Agency, 404 Aviation Blvd, Santa Rosa in the Redwood Room.
- December 1st 10:00-11:30 AM at Howard Memorial Hospital, One Marcella Drive, Willits in the Seabiscuit Conference Room.
