NOTICE OF MEETING TO RECEIVE INPUT REGARDING THE SONOMA COUNTY EXCLUSIVE OPERATING AREA REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The Sonoma County Department of Health Services (DHS) will be holding a series of meetings to receive input from stakeholders regarding the development of the Request for Proposal for advanced life support and emergency ambulance services within the Sonoma County Exclusive Operating Area (EOA).  The first meeting will be held at 9:00 am on February 19, 2019 at the DHS Administration building located at 1450 Neotomas Avenue in Santa Rosa.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive input from interested stakeholders on the proposed structure of the RFP, including a two-option model that would require interested proposers submit a response that includes a proposal for the area covered by the existing EOA, and a second proposal that includes both the existing EOA plus yet to be determined zones outside the existing EOA.

The Department’s goal is the development of a high performing, integrated emergency medical system that supports improved response times and patient outcomes, is fiscally sustainable, and values, recognizes, and supports the contribution of fire agencies as an integral part of the EMS response system.
